The work starts with the existing shower and the surfaces you want to replace. We assess the preparation, waterproofing, and tile installation needed, then confirm what is included in your estimate.
We plan tile layout, cuts, and transitions around the shower’s dimensions, corners, and drain. Tile must suit its intended use, especially on a wet shower floor.
Our scope covers the agreed tile installation and preparation. Plumbing changes and shower glass need a separate arrangement, which is clarified before work begins.
We assess the existing base and walls and prepare the surfaces included in the agreed scope. If opening the shower reveals a hidden problem, we discuss the next steps before covering it with new tile.
Waterproofing is planned for the shower and the surfaces being tiled, with attention to corners, openings, and connections. The approach depends on the project; tile and grout alone do not provide waterproofing.
We lay out, cut, and install the agreed wall and floor tile, planning joints and cuts around corners and the drain. A project can include wall tile above an existing prefabricated base; a new tiled floor is not assumed.
We complete the tile joints, exposed edges, and transitions to adjoining surfaces, then explain care and the waiting time before the shower can be used.

Book a Free EstimateTile and grout alone do not make a shower waterproof. A properly built shower needs a waterproofing system behind the finish, with careful detailing around the drain, corners, and openings.
When planning a replacement shower, the existing base and walls need to be assessed along with the tile. New finishes should be part of a sound installation, not a way to cover an unresolved problem.
When the damage is limited to the existing tile or grout, tile repair may be a better fit than replacing the whole shower.
Large wall tile needs its own preparation and layout. See large-format tile installation.
For the protection beneath the tile, or an existing moisture problem, see shower waterproofing.
Tell us what needs to change and where the project is. During an onsite visit, we review the existing shower, the surfaces to be tiled, and what you want to keep.
We confirm the preparation, waterproofing, tile work, and finishing included in the estimate. Plumbing and glass arrangements, material availability, and the expected schedule are clarified before work starts.
We protect the surrounding work area and complete the agreed surface preparation and waterproofing. If opening the shower reveals a problem that changes the scope, we discuss it with you before proceeding.
We plan the layout, cut and set the tile, and finish the joints, edges, and transitions. Installation follows the requirements of the materials used for your project.
We walk through the finished tile work and explain care instructions and the required waiting time before the shower can be used.
The price depends on the shower’s size, tile selection, preparation, and the details included in the project. Changes to the base, drain, or plumbing can also affect the total. An on-site visit helps define the work so the estimate reflects your bathroom.

Changes to the base, drain, or plumbing are separate from the tile and can change the total.
Renovation is disruptive enough. My team and I keep the work area tidy and clean up as we go, so your home still feels like your home while we’re working.
I lead the team and install tile myself. I stay involved in the details, from preparation to the final finish, and take responsibility for the work we do in your home.
You can talk to me directly. I keep you updated on progress, explain what comes next, and discuss changes with you before we move ahead, so you know where your project stands.
If we spot a concern or see a better way to achieve the look you want, I bring it up early. We’ll talk through practical options and what each means for your budget, layout, and everyday use.
I have established relationships with suppliers and other contractors. If your shower project needs materials or work beyond our scope, I can help you find the right people and understand the next steps.

A shower can be planned as a separate project. The existing layout and surrounding finishes will help determine what needs to be included. Tell me what you want to keep, and we’ll discuss the boundaries of the work.
The schedule depends on the scope, material availability, preparation, and required curing times. Plumbing or glass work can affect the overall timeline too. We’ll discuss the expected schedule for your project before work begins.
Bring your ideas, reference photos, or tile samples. We can discuss how the size, pattern, and color will work in your shower. Tiles also need to be suitable for their intended location, especially on a wet shower floor.
No. The shower needs a waterproofing system behind the tile, with properly detailed connections and openings. New grout or surface sealer is not a substitute for that system.
Our scope covers the agreed tile installation and preparation. Plumbing changes and shower glass need a separate arrangement, which is clarified before work begins.
The installation materials need time to cure. The waiting period depends on the products and conditions, so follow the instructions provided for your project rather than assuming the shower is ready the next day.
