A new backsplash or a replacement starts with a clear scope. Your estimate lists the tile work, and any removal or wall repair, before installation begins.
New backsplash installation and replacement, including wall preparation, layout, outlet cuts, grout, and finished edges.
We handle the full scope of the tile work: help choosing the tile, demolition of the old backsplash, wall preparation, layout, installation, and grout.
Tile on the wall between the counter and the upper cabinets, including a return at a window when the layout calls for it.
Removing the old backsplash when that is part of the estimate, then setting the new tile on the prepared wall.
Deciding where the pattern starts so cuts land cleanly at outlets, corners, and the ends of the run.
Checking the wall and preparing the surface the tile needs. Repairs that were not in the original estimate are discussed before we add them.
Cuts around outlet boxes and inside corners, and a finished edge where the tile meets paint or another surface.
Grout between the tiles, and caulk where the tile meets the counter or another material that needs a flexible joint.

Book a Free EstimateWe measure the wall, look at the cabinets, counter, outlets, and corners, and talk through tile and layout. The scope and estimate are agreed before installation starts.
We cover the counters, floors, and nearby cabinets. If removal is in the estimate, the old backsplash comes off before the new layout is set. Anything that would change the work gets discussed first.
We check the wall and prepare the surface the tile needs. The layout is marked so cuts at outlets and corners are decided before tile is set in place.
Tile is cut and set to that layout, including the pieces around outlet boxes, inside corners, and the outside edges of the field.
We grout the field, finish the joints at the counter, and clean the work area. Then we review the finished backsplash with you and explain when it can get wet and how to care for it.
The estimate depends on the backsplash area, tile layout, wall condition, removal, and finishing details. We confirm the scope and expected schedule during the onsite visit.

Area, the tile and pattern, the number of cuts, the condition of the wall, removal of an old backsplash, and the edges where the tile stops. You’ll see those items on the estimate.
Timing depends on the size, the pattern, and whether the old tile comes off. We’ll tell you which parts of the counter to leave clear and when the grout can get wet.
Yes. You can purchase the tile, or we can purchase it for you. We’ll confirm which, and how much extra to order for cuts, before work begins.
Yes, when removal is part of the estimate. It is listed separately from the new installation, along with any repair the wall needs after the old tile is off.
Sometimes the existing surface can stay, and sometimes it has to come off. We check the wall at the visit and quote the preparation the new tile actually needs. We don’t treat every wall as ready.
We cut the tile around outlet boxes and at corners. Tile next to a range has to suit that location; we follow the product instructions for the material you choose.
The onsite estimate is free and comes with no obligation. Our installation is backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty. Ask us what that covers for your project.
